Three course meal for less than £6 per head

Are you planning your first WeFiFo event? Or interested to see how much hosting costs? Maybe you’re just looking for menu inspiration? Well look no further!

This is the first post in our series of costed recipes and meal plans, designed to show you what can be created for what cost and how you can use WeFiFo to turn this food in to an income.

We’re kicking off with a three course British menu to give you some ideas on how much hosting a steak dinner might cost – and how much profit you could make!  For all the costings, we have used supermarket mid-range ingredients. To be as representative as possible, we will be posting a series of menus using a wide range of supermarket produce.

This meal, costed at in June 2017, came to £5.85 per head. This menu is costed for six guests, but look out for articles on cooking for smaller number, as well as for parties.

We have kept things quite simple, but depending on how confident you are feeling you could always add canapes, different breads with your meal and tea and coffee with homemade biscuits or a cheese board after pudding – it’s your call and we’ll leave that up to you!
