WeFiFo's Week

What we all did this summer…

It looks like summer might be beginning to end…with August bank holiday behind us and back to school looming, plus the distinct lack of a heatwave, here at WeFiFo we’re beginning to turn our thoughts to warming autumn food.

But before we do so, we wanted to look back at the WeFiFo summer.  And what a summer we’ve had! I think all of you will agree that the weather was fantastic which has certainly been an added bonus, but what was really special for us was the fantastic array of events that so many of you have hosted. Such choice and diversity – from Vietnamese feasts and Russian Dinner dates to Secret Lebanese Supper Clubs , Mexican Nights and Jamaican pattie cooking classes. And much, much more besides.

We’ve not been resting on our sun beds either. The summer season kicked off with a wonderful event in Banbury where we joined forces with Gluts & Gluttony for a unique Supper Club in collaboration with Waitrose at Waitrose Banbury Cafe.  Alongside the menu, we served perfectly matched wines, hand selected by Waitrose’s Head Of Wine Pierpaolo Petrassi.  A good time was had by all and we are busy arranging more Waitrose events – keep an eye on our blog and we’ll keep you posted.

As well as a new partnership with Waitrose, we’ve been working with intu, who look after many of the UK’s leading shopping centres.  Continuing our aim to bring food to new places and people together, it was great fun to work with intu to create an outside communal eating experience at their Chapelfields centre in Norwich.  With seating for 24 people, we worked with Norwich institution The Last Wine Bar & Restaurant to host an exclusive, outdoor, four course dining experience.  We had a blast and it looks like our guests did too.  Take a look at what happened here…

Remember, we are always on the look out for professional chefs to come and host our Waitrose and Intu events so if you are interested do please get in touch at hello@wefifo.com.

We have lots of exciting new events planned in the next few months so do keep an eye on our website and social pages. And if you want the very latest news, you can sign up to our emails quickly and simply through your WeFiFo account.

As always, thank you for your support and here’s to the rest of 2018 and beyond.
