WeFiFo are raising investment through Crowdcube, a UK crowdfunding platform.
We want to share our success as widely as possible, which is why we’ve chosen to open up the opportunity to invest in WeFiFo through crowdfunding. If you’re interested in investing, but have never done so before, here are a few things you should know:
As with all investments, investing in WeFiFo means your capital is at risk.
Who can invest: To invest on Crowdcube you must be over 18 years old and legally entitled to invest. Investors must be resident in the United Kingdom or a country where you may legally receive financial promotions of the nature provided by Crowdcube and are legally entitled to invest in the type of investments offered. (Crowdcube does not advertise investment opportunities to people in the United States, Canada, Japan or any other country where it would be unlawful for our pitches to be advertised. Investors must not register or view pitches if they are resident in these countries.)
How you can invest: You will need to register as a Crowdcube member before investing in WeFiFo. If you would like to proceed with investment, enter the amount you wish to invest in the ‘Enter Amount’ box and click ‘Invest now’.
You will pay for your investment using a credit or debit card, which will be processed by Stripe. Unfortunately, Crowdcube are unable to accept payment by cheque or bank transfer.
Your payment will only be taken once our pitch hits its target. You will be given 7 working days to review your investment, and the legal documentation will be completed. If the pitch does not reach its target then no money is taken.
Investors will be emailed a copy of the adopted Articles of Association and given seven working days to review them. During this time you can query, reduce or withdraw your investment should you choose to do so by emailing support@crowdcube.com
How much do I have to invest: The minimum investment is £10.
When will I get my money back?: An important question! You can receive a return in the event that WeFiFo makes an ‘exit’ in the future. Different types of exits include a trade sale, IPO or share buyback. Investing in WeFiFo should be seen as a mid – long term investment
What will WeFiFo do with my money?: The money we raise will allow us to build the WeFiFo team, recruit new hosts and guests to the community, develop the platform and increase our marketing activity.
What happens after I’ve invested?: Assuming a successful fund raise through Crowdcube, all investors will receive a copy of the Articles of Association via email and will be informed of the cooling off period. Once the cooling off period, which is generally no less than seven days has expired, the payment collections process starts and then electronic share certificates are issued.
What happens if I still have questions?: If you have questions about our campaign, or you’d like more information before investing, email hello@wefifo.com. Seni, Jon or one of the wider WeFiFo team would be delighted to answer your questions.
